Every watt on your
site, on one screen.
Apex Energy Cloud connects generation, storage, conversion and load into a single live system — measured second-by-second at the edge and controllable from anywhere.
Your energy assets don't talk to each other
A working site runs generators, solar, batteries, inverters and the grid — each with its own controller, protocol and screen. The result: no single source of truth, and no way to act fast when it matters.
Fragmented protocols
Modbus, serial, building systems — data lives in a dozen places and reaches none of them together.
No live visibility
Faults, empty fuel tanks and battery wear get discovered on a site visit — after they cost you.
Manual control
Starting a genset or switching a battery bank still means someone on-site, flipping a switch.
Sense. Stream. Steer.
Apex collapses the whole stack — from the field sensor to the control room — into one platform, with the control plane to act on what it sees.
Universal capture
Every asset and register, normalized into clean telemetry at the edge.
Live to cloud
Secure uplink with change-based reporting — seconds, not minutes.
Remote control
Start, stop and switch modes straight from the dashboard.
Any site, any size
One microgrid or a fleet — the same architecture grows with you.
From the field sensor to your screen
An industrial edge, an elastic cloud — each does what it does best
Apex runs split-brain: a rugged industrial PC (IPC) on-site owns real-time acquisition and control; the cloud owns history, analytics and orchestration. Neither depends on the other to keep working.
Industrial PC (IPC)
- Fanless, rugged IPC — DIN-rail / panel-mount, no moving parts
- Runs the Apex Edge Gateway in Docker
- Sub-second polling & local control loops
- Store-and-forward buffering through outages
- Keeps running if the cloud link drops — dials out only
Apex Energy Cloud
- Aggregates every site, asset & signal
- Time-series history, rules, alarms & events
- Dashboards + mobile, anywhere
- Remote config & over-the-air updates
- Multi-tenant, role-based, elastic scale
Runs & controls offline
Local control under a second
Outbound-only, encrypted
Add sites without re-architecting
Distributed acquisition, no single point of failure
Instead of trunking every cable back to one panel, Apex pushes intelligence into the field. Modbus RTU (RS-485) devices cluster onto local gateways that bridge to Modbus TCP over Ethernet — each asset group its own acquisition node.
- Fault isolation — one node drops, the rest keep running
- Less cabling — RS-485 daisy-chains locally; one Ethernet run home
- Vendor-agnostic — any device, RTU or TCP, mixed per zone
- Scale in zones — add a gateway to add an asset group
- Local buffering — each node holds data through dropouts
- Easy retrofits — wire a new zone without touching the rest
The whole plant, in one flow
A real Apex deployment at an industrial facility. The live Sankey shows energy moving from source to process in real time.
- 13,424 kW total load, balanced live across HFO, solar and diesel sources
- 2Energy Sankey — power routed to extruders, thermoforming, tanks & services
- 3Generation buses — each genset's output and solar offset, tracked per unit
- 4Cost, CO₂ & specific fuel rolled up for the day, automatically
A 42-inverter solar fleet, accounted for
Every inverter, every array, every kilowatt-hour — with the production curve and avoided emissions computed as the sun moves.
Drill into any process area
From the plant view, step into a single sub-plant: its own power-flow, source mix and the equipment driving it.
- 1Local power flow — import, solar, diesel and load for this area alone
- 2Solar inverters table — power and efficiency, inverter by inverter
- 3Diesel gensets — per-unit power and run/stop state
- 4Renewable share & HFO bus quality (V, Hz, power factor) at a glance
Seven asset classes, fully instrumented
Each asset reports the signals that actually drive dispatch, health and yield — and the controllable ones accept commands back.
Solar
Irradiance, voltage, current, power & module temperature.
Wind
Output power, rotor & wind speed, wind direction.
Generator
Fuel, oil temp, output, run-hours · remote start/stop.
Batteries
6 banks · SoC, temp, charge/discharge, cycle count · mode control.
Inverter
3-phase in/out, per-phase power, current & temp · mode control.
Transformer
Per-phase V/I, day & night energy · per-phase mode control.
Consumption
3-phase load, power demand & daily energy.
Mains / Export
Import/export balance & power quality at the point of common coupling.
Smart telemetry, not a firehose
The Edge Gateway polls every asset each second but only forwards what's meaningful — full fidelity on events, light on bandwidth.
- On-change — status, faults and mode flips uplink the instant they happen
- Periodic — fast analogues like voltage & power stream on a tuned interval
- Hybrid — slow signals (temperature) report only when they drift
- Store & forward — buffers locally through outages, syncs on reconnect
A continuous energy audit — not a once-a-year report
A consultant audits your energy once and leaves. Apex audits it every second — baselining, benchmarking and flagging waste around the clock, turning raw telemetry into the KPIs that drive decisions.
Specific consumption
kWh per unit of output — your true energy intensity.
Specific fuel
Litres per kWh from each genset — efficiency, live.
Renewable share
% of load served by solar & wind, hour by hour.
Power factor & demand
Stay ahead of utility penalties and peak charges.
Cost per kWh
By source — grid vs genset vs solar — in real time.
CO₂ emitted vs avoided
Automatic reporting for ESG and compliance.
Flagged the moment it happens: off-shift loads left running, idling equipment, drifting power factor, demand spikes and underperforming inverters.
One sensor, two payoffs: performance & protection
Every measurement works twice — it quantifies how well a process runs, and it watches the health of the machine running it. Metering both the input and the output of an asset is where it compounds.
- True specific fuel consumption (L/kWh) — measured, not nameplate
- Theft & leak detection — fuel gone with no kWh to show for it
- Predictive maintenance — a rising L/kWh trend flags wear before failure
- Smart dispatch — real cost/kWh: genset vs solar vs grid
- Optimal loading — keep the engine in its efficient 75–85% band
Throughput, specific consumption, efficiency % and benchmarking across assets and shifts.
Temperature, run-hours, fuel and cycle trends → preventive & predictive maintenance.
Don't just watch it — run it
Apex is bidirectional. Commands travel from the dashboard back to the asset over the same secure channel that carries telemetry.
- Remote start / stop — gensets, solar, wind and every battery bank
- Mode setpoints — inverter, transformer phases, battery charge mode
- Automatable — rules can dispatch assets without a human in the loop
- Audited — every command logged with who, what and when

Built to be deployed & trusted
- Secure by transport — token-auth, encrypted uplink; edge dials out, nothing dials in
- Containerized edge — drop it on any industrial PC; self-restarts on failure
- Remote-managed — push config & add devices from the cloud, no truck roll
- Multi-tenant — one cloud, many sites & customers, role-based access
- Resilient — back-pressure, QoS and buffering keep data intact through outages
